James L Prow
James L. Prow, 90 year's young, rose peacefully to heaven with children at his side. Born in Chicago, was one of 9 siblings. He was a disabled World War II veteran of the United States Army and a Post Commander of the American Legion of Barrington, Illinois. He was also a Free Mason of the Lounsbury Lodge #522 for over 63 years at the Barrington Chapter. James was a Police officer for the Barrington Police Department and later worked for American Can Company until he retired after 23 years of dedicated service. After retirement James and his wife Ruth moved to Ormond Beach, Florida. He is survived by his wife Ruth of over 68 years marriage; daughter, Nancy Green; son, Richard Prow; sisters, Marge and Betty; brothers, Joe, Jack, Gene. James was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, George and Donald; daughter, Sandra Holmes; and son, William Prow. He was an active man who enjoyed playing Skippo with Paul watching wrestling, dancing with his wife Ruth (who was later named Twinkle Toes Prow). He was also part of the local singing group called the "Clod busters".
James and Ruth were blessed with eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. And will be truly missed. A special thanks to the loving care of Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, and Dee Crews for being a very special Caregiver. Services will be withheld until James and Ruth are reunited together among their family in their final resting place In Barrington, Illinois.
